| As
this site has a vision to help support and develop new
modelers, we have started to review the programs that
we will be discussing in the Forum threads. We have
agreed a few deals, to be mentioned in our Forums, to
acquire licensed versions of some of these products
as prizes for competitions. We have agreed to review
every modeler available from the free offerings like
Blender and Wings, up to the industry giants like Maya
and XSI. Watch out for special deals on purchasing your
favorite programs: we have a few deals lined up that
may be of interest to you! |

| We
have been picking book titles to review in this section
and we decided to focus on two very distinct types.
Firstly, books that will help you to become a better
modeler and secondly, books that will inspire you or
make you `want` to model better.
As we progress I would like to be able to offer special
deals on some of these titles but for now will focus
on raising awareness about a range of titles to support
the subdivisionmodeling.com vision. |

|
| As
our main sponsor is KURVStudios.com
we have access to a wide range of training material
in the form of DVD's. KURV has made their entire range
of titles available to our reviewing team and we will
endeavor to review all of the titles that relate in
any way to subdivision modeling. Most of the titles
from KURV are about Lightwave and Photoshop but more
recently ZBrush and SILO have joined the ranks. |

As
a modeler there are numerous places to visit to get
help, support, training and resources. These websites
have been chosen as they offer something to you as a
modeler: from 3D reference sites to free tutorials and
videos to download. Our team of reviewers try to look
at the sites from the point of view of someone coming
to 3D modeling for the first time.
